VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF KOZAKLI / HEALTH TOURISM MANAGEMENT

History

Established Health Tourism Operator Program; Founded with the law No. 5662 dated May 17, 2007, Nevşehir Haci Bektas Vocational University, affiliated to Kozaklı Vocational School, started its associate degree education in the academic year of 2018-2019.


Qualification Awarded

Qualification Awarded Students who successfully complete all the courses in the program (total of 120 ECTS) and obtain a weighted average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded a pre-degree diploma in the field of HEALTH TOURISM MANAGEMENT.

Specific Admission Requirements

Acceptance and Registration Requirements The registration of the candidates to vocational higher schools shall be carried out in accordance with the principles to be determined by the Council of Higher Education and Universities. Registration to the university is done by the candidate himself. However, records of those who have justified and valid excuses can also be made by their relatives. A student ID card is issued for the student who is enrolled in the university. To register for Vocational Schools; 1) Being a graduate of high school or vocational school; 2) To be placed as a result of Student Selection and Placement Examination (ÖSYS) in the School of Health Tourism Administration Program by means of central placement system, the conditions are searched. Documents required for registration: 1) High school and balanced school diploma 2) Placement result document made by ÖSYM


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning The process of recognizing prior learning at Turkish Higher Education Institutions is still in its infancy. For this reason, the recognition of the previous learner in all programs of Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University has not been fully started. However, exams are given at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and English which are included in the training plans of the programs. Those who succeed in the entrance examination are exempted from these courses.

Qualification Requirements and Rules In order to obtain the associate degree in the field of Health Tourism Management, the students must successfully complete all required and elective courses (total of 120 ECTS) which must be taken in the program and obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.


Profile of The Programme

PROGRAM PROFILE The main objective of the Health Tourism Business Administration Program is to train qualified professionals who can be employed in the hospitality and health management fields in all areas of the tourism and health sector. Depending on this goal, our academic and administrative staff work with great dedication to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education both theoretically and practically. In this program, students are introduced to the basic tourism concepts such as General Tourism, Tourism Economy, Tourism Marketing, General Business, Basic Health Information and First Aid, Introduction to Health Tourism, Medical Terminology and Documentation Management, Marketing in Health Tourism, Law Basic Concepts, International Health Tourism Mobility, , Nutrition Principles in Health Tourism, International Health Law and Patient Rights, etc. lessons are given and application works are done at Thermal Hotel located in Kozaklı. In addition, as a vocational college, we have participated on behalf of the University of Nevşehir in international tourism fairs with hundreds of very important connections with the tourism establishment, the result of our students during the training period, internship and after graduation job opportunities are provided. Having a vocational high school in a thermal tourism center with international prescription like Kozaklı makes a great contribution to the professional development of our students.

Access to Further Studies

Transition to Further Degree Programs Candidates who have successfully completed Associate Degree education can make a vertical transition to their undergraduate programs on the condition that they are successful in the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) exam. They can also make a vertical transition to the undergraduate programs of the Open Education Faculties without direct examination.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Examinations, Assessment and Assessment Each student must register at the beginning of the term and attend at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the courses in order to be able to take the final exam. Students are required to take at least one midterm and a final exam for each course. The success grade is 40%, the contribution of the semester exam is 60%. The midterm exam can be taken as a midterm exam (as a midterm exam, homework, laboratory exam, quiz etc.). All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to take at least 45 points from the final exam. Students who take one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) are considered successful. (DC) and (DD) grades are conditionally successful grades. For a student to have a DC or DD grade of a grade, a grade point average of at least 2.0 is required. Students who receive one of the grades (FD) or (FF) are considered unsuccessful.
