History

Public Policy and Management Master's Program with Thesis is an interdisciplinary program that begin in 2014-2015 academic year. The program includes courses on Public Administration, Management, International Relations and Economics. The lecturers in the program are given below. Qualification Awarded

Ones who successfully complete all of the program courses (120 ECTS in total) and achieve a GPA of at least 70 out of 100 are eligible to receive a master's degree in Public Policy and Management.

Specific Admission Requirements

Graduates of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences departments of Turkish or foreign universities (equalized by YÖK) and bachelor's degree Turkish Public Officials are accepted. Candidates are required to meet the requirements stated in the Regulation on Post-Graduate Education of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University and ALES equal weight score is taken into consideration in the ranking (for foreigners, ALES point is required for only graduates of Turkish universities). Students who are eligible to enroll in the program are required to register the documents announced on the NEVU Institute of Social Sciences website and make their registration between the specified-dates. In the admission of foreign students, the criteria determined by the University Senate and the quota allocated by the university are taken into consideration.


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

The decision of the Academic Council of the Department is valid in the recognition of prior learning. Foreigners who are graduates of foreign universities are required to present Turkish language credential drafted by TOMER.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to obtain a master's degree in Public Policy and Management, students must successfully complete all compulsory and optional courses (120 ECTS credits in total) and have a GPA of at least 70 out of 100.


Profile of The Programme

The Master Program in Public Policy and Management is aimed to generate well equipped workers who have the knowledge to provide services in the public and private sectors, transfer their knowledge to practice, acquire the ability to conduct scientific research individually, ponder and adopt the principle of analytical thinking.

PO-7 Analyze elements of political and administrative systems and design institutional systems based on these elements; have the ability to activate the process of decision making and co-ordination mechanisms which are effective in the process of institutionalization,

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Each student must register for classes at the beginning of the semester. Students are required to attend at least 70% of the theoric courses and at least 80% of the hands-on training in order to be able to take the final exams. Students are subject to at least 1 midterm and 1 final exam for each course. (The achievement grade can be included in the measurement tools used by the faculty member and the scores obtained from them.) The midterm exam and the final exam are 60% and 40% respectively. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students taking one of the (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) letter grades from a course are considered successful. In order to pass the course, at least 70 over 100 are required.


Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the program, it is necessary to take 120 ECTS courses and to be successful in these courses.
