TOURISM RESEARCH INSTITUTE / TOURISM TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION (MASTER'S WITH THESIS)

History

Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Tourism Research Institute was established by the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 25 May 2018 and numbered 30431. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Tourism Research Institute, Department of Tourism Technologies and Innovation will start postgraduate education in the 2022-2023 academic year. The language of education is Turkish.


Qualification Awarded

Students who complete the Master's with Thesis gain the title of science specialist in the field of Tourism Technologies and Innovation.

Specific Admission Requirements

Candidates who will apply to the program must meet the admission conditions determined in accordance with the Graduate Education Regulations issued by YÖK and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Graduate Education Regulations.


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Individuals who have graduated from the Department of Tourism Management, Tourism Management and Hotel Management, Tourism Guidance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Archeology, Electronic engineering or equivalent programs accepted by YÖK from universities abroad can enroll in the program.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students who successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses stipulated by the Tourism Research Institute, Department of Tourism Technologies and Innovation, make a thesis on a topic they have determined and are entitled to graduate after successfully presenting this study orally. The qualification conditions and rules of the Tourism Technologies and Innovation master's program are specified in the "Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Examinations are composed of one mid-term and one final exam. In order a student to take the final exam, he/she should attend at least 70% of theoretical courses and 80% of applied and laboratory studies. The course grade is calculated by adding 40% of mid-term grade to the 60% of the final exam. To be considered successful in a course, masters students must have at least CC grade.


Graduation Requirements

To be graduated from this program, students must successfully complete the core and elective courses (a total of 120 ECTS credits) in the curriculum. After completion of the courses, students must prepare a master’s thesis and pass the final oral examination.
