VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES / TIBBİ TANITIM VE PAZARLAMA

History

Nevşehir University Health Services Vocational School was opened in 1992-1993 academic year in our province, affiliated to Erciyes University. Existing students were transferred to Erciyes University Halil Bayraktar Health Services Vocational School by not accepting students in the 1993-1994 academic year. Our school, which did not accept students in the following years, was affiliated to Nevşehir University with the establishment of Nevşehir University in 2007, and Nevşehir University Health Services Vocational School Medical Promotion and Marketing Program started its education at associate degree level in 2012-2013 academic year. The language of instruction is Turkish.


Qualification Awarded

Which is available in the program (a total of 120 ECTS) of courses successfully completed a minimum 2.00 GPA for students who obtain associate's degree is the field of Medical Promotion and Marketing.

They must take the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) administered by the ÖSYM Presidency and get enough "TYT" score.


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

If the students who have registered to another Higher Education University in Turkey or abroad, where they have previously studied, apply within the first week, their credit and note transfer requests are evaluated by the board of directors of the relevant teaching unit and a decision is made to cover the whole education and for once. Students who have completed secondary education or an equivalent education abroad and have the required score in the university exam can enroll in the program. On the other hand, students can be enrolled by transfer from the equivalent program of another higher education institution. For the transfer of the courses taken by these students from other higher education institutions, Nevşehir University Hacı Bektaş Veli University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education-Training Regulations, exemption and adjustment directive and Examination Regulations can be considered.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to obtain an associate degree in the Medical Promotion and Marketing program, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) required in the program and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.


Profile of The Programme

The main purpose of the department of medical promotion and marketingis to educate the qualified staff who has gained the basic knowledge and background needed by the companies working in the medical sector.These students are educated in such a way that they can work in various areas where medical promotin and marketingservices are supplied.This department is in cooperatin with the ministry of health,ministry of working and social security,directory of social services,offical and private chemists,universities,high schools of health,research societites,graduates,individuals and families.Our department has been trying to educate the students in the best way with the present staff.The students of this department have to complete the training programme at the exact date and places decided by the training committe.The courses given in this department include both the courses related with the department itself directly and other courses such as history,Turkish,English,computing and communication technology.

Graduates of the program can get the title of Product Promotion Representative and can work in businesses with pharmaceutical and medical fields of activity. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Each student must attend at least 70% of the lessons and at least 80% of the practices in order to register for the courses at the beginning of the term and to enter the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc. as midterm grade can also be taken into consideration) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to get at least 45 points from the final exam. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) from a course are considered successful in that course. (DC) and (DD) grades are conditionally successful grades. A student must have a CGPA of at least 2.0 in order to be successful in a course in which he / she received DC or DD grade.


Graduation Requirements

In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all of the courses available in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS) and to achieve a weighted grade average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. Again, in order for the candidates to graduate from the program, they must successfully complete a total of 30 working days of summer internship (30 working days).

Education and training activities in our department are carried out by 1 lecturer and 6 lecturers. The classes in our department are carried out in classrooms with a capacity of 45 people and equipped with a projection device. 1 application laboratory is used.
