Specific Admission Requirements

In our country, it is necessary to be successful in the YGS and LYS selection exams held by YÖK to enter universities. Entry to graduate programs depends solely on the scores obtained from these exams. Students list their department preferences according to the scores they received as a result of the exam and send their preference forms to the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). ÖSYM is an institution affiliated with YÖK. ÖSYM receives all applications, groups the applications by score type, ranks the scores from highest to lowest, lists all available programs according to the preferred score type, and places the students in one of the programs they prefer. The selection of foreign students to enter universities in our country is made through a central exam called Foreign Student Examination (YÖS). According to the results of this exam, foreign students are accepted within a certain quota. Documents required for registration; 1- High school or equivalent school diploma, 2- Result of the placement exam held by ÖSYM.

Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

The process of recognition of prior learning in Turkish Higher Education boards is still in its early stages. For this reason, recognition of prior learning has not been fully initiated in all programs of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. However, exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic semester for courses such as Computer and English, which are included in the education plans of the programs. Students who believe that they have achieved the expected learning outcomes of these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who take the exam and are successful are exempt from the relevant course in the curriculum.
