History

Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Institute of Social Sciences was established as a result of its announcement in the Official Gazette numbered 26536 on 29 May 2007. In the 2020-2021 academic year, students have been accepted to the Management and Organization Doctorate Program. The language of instruction is Turkish.


Qualification Awarded

Students who successfully complete the program and meet the program qualifications are awarded a doctoral diploma in the field of management and organization.


Level of Qualification

Students who qualify for a diploma from this program will have a Doctorate degree.


Specific Admission Requirements

Candidates with both undergraduate and graduate degrees can apply to this program. The application conditions for the program are as follows. For graduate graduates; Candidates who will apply as a master's degree graduate Candidates who will apply as a master's degree graduate to the Department of Business Administration, Departments of Business Administration, Management Information System, Health Management, Human Resources Management, Tourism Management, Tourism Management and Hotel Management, Accommodation Management, Banking and International Finance, International Trade and Logistics, Management Engineering and Industrial Engineering graduate programs with thesis. ALES score must be at least 55 (equal weight), foreign language score (YDS, YÖKDİL and equivalent exams) must be at least 55, and the graduate GPA must be 65 out of 100. - For undergraduate graduates; Candidates who will apply as a bachelor's degree must be graduates of Business and Economics, Tourism Management and Hotel Management Departments of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Business Administration, Tourism Management Department of Tourism Faculty, Tourism Management and Hotel Management Department, Industrial Engineering and Management Engineering Department of Tourism and Hotel Management Schools. is required. ALES score must be at least 80 (equal weight), foreign language score (YDS, YÖKDİL and equivalent exams) must be at least 55, and the undergraduate GPA must be 76.66 out of 100. Candidates who will apply to the Department of Processing Doctorate Program will be accepted if they document that they have received equivalent scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and other foreign language exams accepted as equivalent to YDS by the Interuniversity Board. Applications are evaluated as follows; - 60% of the ALES score of the applicants, 30% of the undergraduate / graduate graduation grade, 10% of the foreign language exam grade will be taken into consideration, and according to the result of the ranking, two (2) times will be interviewed. Other candidates will not be interviewed. Candidates for admission to a doctoral program A ranking will be made by taking into account 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate / graduate graduation grade average, 10% of the foreign language exam score and 20% of the interview grade. The grade calculated in this way must be at least 55.


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior formal learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, vertical, horizontal and university transfers are carried out within the scope of transfer between assocıate and undergraduate programs ın hıgher educatıon ınstıtutıons, double major, sıde branches and ınstıtutıonal credıt transfer.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

For graduate graduates; Having taken at least 24 credits (equivalent to 60 ECTS) from the courses available in the graduate program of the business administration department and successfully completed all of them, achieved a grade point average of at least 75 out of 100 and succeeded in the qualifying exam, he successfully completed his thesis in a field related to his subject, in front of an elected jury. defenders are awarded a doctoral degree in Business Administration. For undergraduate graduates; Having taken at least 48 credits (equivalent to 120 ECTS) from the courses available in the graduate program of the business administration department and successfully completed all of the courses, achieved a grade point average of at least 75 out of 100, and successfully completed the thesis prepared in a field related to his subject, in front of an elected jury. defenders are awarded a doctoral degree in business administration.


Profile of The Programme

The purpose of the doctorate program in management and organization is to equip students with the knowledge of theory and method related to business management, to enable them to carry out original and interdisciplinary research, to improve their ability to produce new knowledge and to contribute to science at national and international level. Within the framework of this program, it is aimed to raise graduates who can evaluate and interpret the information in the field of business with an in-depth perspective, master scientific study processes in order to produce new and original knowledge, have high level of knowledge in research methods, and have advanced analysis and synthesis skills. The main objective of the program is to train successful management and organization academics and experts in their field. Doctorate program; For graduate graduates, a total of 4 years, including 1 year course stage and 3 years thesis stage, for undergraduate graduates, 2 years course stage and 3 years thesis stage. In order to start the thesis phase, it is necessary to pass the doctoral qualification exam. An advisor is assigned to each student and students make their course choices with the help of advisor faculty members.

PO-7 It establishes and develops good relations with public and private sector representatives and can work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary groups.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of midterm exams to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB) and (CB) from a course are considered successful from that course.


Graduation Requirements

In order to complete the Management and Organization Doctorate Program, graduate students must successfully complete at least eight courses, not less than 24 credits in total, and department seminar courses and successfully pass the proficiency exam before starting their thesis work. At the end of four consecutive semesters, the student who fails from the credit courses and the seminar course of the department is dismissed from the institute. The student is obliged to register for the specialization course opened by his / her thesis supervisor. Undergraduate students; Before starting the thesis study, they have to successfully complete at least sixteen courses, not less than 48 credits in total, and the seminar course of the department, and pass the proficiency exam successfully. At the end of the six consecutive semesters, the student who fails the credit courses and the seminar course of the department is dismissed from the institute. The student is obliged to register for the specialization course opened by his / her thesis supervisor.

The education and training activities of the management and organization doctorate program are carried out by 3 professors, 8 associate professors and 7 doctor lecturers. The education and training activities of the department are carried out in 3 classrooms with a capacity of 30 people and having a projection device and Internet connection. In addition, the institute also has wireless internet connection.
