Associate Degree |
In Turkey it is necessary that students to pass the YGS (Transition to Higher Education Examination) and LYS (Undergraduate Placement Examination). It is possible to get associate degree programs through the scores taken from YGS or without examination. The only way to enter a program in University is through these tests’ scores. The students make choices in order of preference to be admitted to the programs they want to attend and send their preference form to ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center). ÖSYM takes all the applications, lists the scores the students have received from highest to lowest and announces the current programs according to the scores placing the students in the programs they have preferred. The foreign students get placed in a University, allocated a certain number of quota students in our country, as per the scores they have received on the central exam named YÖS (University Entrance Examination for International Students). Documents required for the enrollment process are: • Diplomas of High Schools and their equivalents • The Document of Student Placement Exam results by ÖSYM |
In Turkish Higher Education Institutions, recognition of the prior learning is at the beginning level. As a consequence, for all programs of Nevsehir University recognition of prior learning has not been started yet. An exemption exam for English courses is held at the beginning of academic year. Students, who get the expected learning outcomes, have the chance of attending exams. The students who pass the exam are exempted from that course both in Fall and Spring term. |
In order to obtain an Associate Degree in Office Management and Executive Asistant Program, students must accomplish all compulsory and elective courses, a total of 120 ECTS, and have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.
