FACULTY OF FINE ARTS / INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

History

Department of Interior Architecture was established in the 2010-2011 academic year.


Qualification Awarded

Students who successfully complete all courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS) and who have at least a 2.0 GPA out of 4.00 are awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture.

Specific Admission Requirements

Admission to the faculty is arranged within the framework of Turkish Higher Education Council Law and decisions. Students are admitted to the faculty in accordance with the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) and Undergraduate Placement Examination results determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in Ankara. Documents required for the registration; 1 – High school diploma or its equivalent, 2 - Student placement examination result determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) .


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning in higher education institutions is still at an early stage. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning in all programs of Nevşehir University has not been fully initiated. However, an exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic semester for courses such as Computer and English which are included in the training plans of the programs. Students who think that these courses provide the expected learning outcomes have the right to take the exams. The students who pass the exam are exempted from the related course.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to obtain a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture Department, students must successfully complete all the compulsory and elective courses (total 240 ECTS) and obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. In addition to the courses, students are required to complete internship at 6th and 8th semesters.


Profile of The Programme

Department of Interior Architecture; as a result of the education, which is based on the principles of creativity, aesthetics, use of modern technology and functional production principles, it is aimed that the students will be a strong artist, designer and researcher in their fields, gain scientific thinking and production habits.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Graduates of the Program can work not only as instructors or research assistants at universities; but also as designer or interior architect at the departments related with project development, application and coordination, of public and private institutions and organizations. Furthermore, graduates can establish their own company and work independently.


Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Each student must enroll in the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the courses in order to be able to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. In addition, in-class studies, presentations, assignments and projects constitute the basic evaluation tools.
